About the delimitation and the State: for a geographical reading of Carl Schmitt. Carl Schmitt’s work is introduced through the reading of two essays: Land und Meer (1942) and Der Nomos der Erde (1950). Both of them, at different degrees, reflect upon the basic relationship in which the “earth” and the “sea” – during the various ages of the world’s history- have been contrasting elements, so that they became immaterial spaces.
